Listed is a Button pad kit for the classic Meade LXD650 / LX50 / LX200 Telescopes, one of the best upgrades for that keypad!!
These pads are designed for all Meade LX200 Classic SCT Telescope Hand Controllers. Comes with a alcohol pad for initial button cleaning before installing the pads. Having raised buttons for N,S,E & W on the keypad makes star alignment and observing much more enjoyable. Also add them for your slew/speed buttons on the left! This is not the key pad!

After many years of using my 12” LX200 I bought new in 1995 that I still own and use today has gotten a lot better using the factory keypad modified with the button pad kit. Thanks to an idea to modify the structure of the keypad face.

Thses kits offier a simple modification to the factory keypad face, creating a better way to navigate over the LX200 keypad aka; “Brick” when general use and 2 star alignment. These button pads make a huge difference in time consuming rubber necking between the eyepiece and the keypad sometimes pressing the wrong keys made my night star gazing frustrating at times, especially when on those cold nights! Shown in the photo above the 4 directional button have been modified with the pad. Nelson Devices offers a kits all the way up to all 20 buttons.
